Hi, I’m Ben, and I like to learn and make videos. Here’s what I do:

History

Math

Computers

I have a YouTube channel covering interesting topics in history absent from school textbooks and common knowledge. Check it out on the Videos page! My videos range from ideas and events that greatly influenced history to minor but unique situations or scenarios, all while seeking to entertain and inform.

When I’m not creating more videos, I’m usually reading nonfiction. (I’m making my way through Andrew Roberts’s Napoleon right now.)

I’ll post math-related videos on my YouTube channel linked above, while I continue to learn and study math. I’ve previously competed in the MATHCOUNTS competition series at the state level, and am currently studying for the AMC.

I’m on my local First Robotics Challenge (FRC) team (Team 836, The RoboBees), where I program the robot for competitions and maintain our organization’s code structure, contributing to libraries that our sister teams and First Tech Challenge (Middle-school level) teams use. We use GitLab, and you can find my (public) contributions here.

I’m also interested in cybersecurity and forensics. I’m on my school’s cybersecurity team and we’ve participated in the CyberPatriot team and Cyberstart competitions. I also compete in other local capture-the-flag events.

And when I’m not competing, I’m pushing code to my Project Euler repository on GitHub, where I use both math and programming to solve math problems. You can check out my GitHub here, and try Project Euler for yourself here.
